Al Hinkle

I’m the owner and lead instructor of Ashinco, LLC. It made sense for me to form the company, as I’ve always had a passion for teaching and an interest in firearms, especially handguns. I’m a National Rifle Association pistol instructor who is certified to teach the NRA Basic Pistol, Personal Protection in the Home, and Personal Protection Outside the Home courses. I’m also an NRA-certified Chief Range Safety Officer and Refuse To Be A Victim instructor, as well as a Maryland Handgun Qualification (HQL) instructor and a Utah Concealed Carry instructor. I’m certified in CPR, AED use, and first aid, as well. Finally, I’m a Glock-certified armorer.

My goal is to provide high quality instruction that results in the participants learning the material, not just hearing me. At the same time, I set a high standard for a class. I believe people learn differently and modify my approach to match the student’s needs. Also, some people learn more quickly than others, and I’ll take the necessary time to ensure the person I’m working with learns what they need to know.

Hi! I’m Amanda, and I’m an assistant instructor with Ashinco, LLC. I’ve been through the NRA Basic Pistol course and am an NRA Range Safety officer. I enjoy shooting and learning about firearms in general. On top of that, I’m on the Executive Committee of the local rod and gun club, which gives me plenty of opportunities to build my shooting skills and learn new things.

I’m also certified in CPR/AED and first aid, so yes, I believe in being safe. In fact, that’s one of the reasons I want to become an instructor: so I can help other people become safe shooters. I enjoy helping people learn new things, and am looking forward to becoming a rated instructor.
